By matter of fact, the electricity consumption alone could power Times Square for 5 days1.

In addition, fuel consumption due to diesel used in generators could fill an average car tank 3.444 times1.

As we reflect on the global industries we can see that in a lot of sectors they’re already switching to green alternatives. Due to further investigation we’ve concluded that in film it is not the lack of good will but rather the technical thresholds that withhold us from using green solutions, specifically the ones that need to be designed to the needs of this complex industry.

ENERGY  STORAGE.

The construction and event industry are already using container stored batteries for years, pushing developers to enhance their battery technology. Unfortunately nobody came up with a solution tailored to the film industry until now. 360GREEN is bringing a versatile renewable energy source to the market. In the form of a 20ft container we can offer you a 750 kw - 250 kVA battery pack. This power storage can be backed-up by connecting it to the second module of this system containing a built-in generator that runs on a combination of HVO and Glycerine. This dual 20ft container combo offers you the security of never running out of juice. Even when using the hybrid generator to recharge the battery pack, this package is up to 80% greener due to the use of these renewable types of fuel and the practice of ‘peak shaving’.

• Safest fuel on site - no ADR
• Exceptional long term stability
• Lubricity superior to diesel
• Engine efficiency raised 1-2 %

 

In combination with a detachable container hook lift system, this pack can be dropped off and picked up anywhere without the use of a supplementary crane. Last but not least this system has mutiple built-in fast charging stations for electric vehicles that can be individually controlled and prioritised by on-board software.

ENERGY SOURCE.

Everybody’s first pick would be a grid connection. It’s not only easy but one can directly go for a 100% green power contract. However, for many productions this is not an option. Another way to avoid having a diesel generator on set is to use a portable distribution panel that’s often used on construction sites. Once set-up it’s very practical but it requires a lot of planning from your location & light department during preproduction.

Another solution is a portable solar panel set. 360GREEN provides trailers with collapsible solar panels and a built-in battery & generator running on HVO from 15 kVA up to 120 kVA. In combination with our battery container with built-in generator this can be an all-round ecofriendly set-up, even on rainy days. Together with your team our green consultants can explore the possibilities on how we can manage to uplift your sustainability without damaging the already existing workflow.
